Sushma Swaraj death news: Former Foreign Minister and Senior BJP leader passes away at 67
It’s a great loss for the nation as a great BJP senior leader and former Foreign Minister Mrs. Sushma Swaraj died at the age of 67 due to sudden cardiac arrest at AIIMS, Delhi. The news of her death left everyone in shock. From hospital, her body was taken to the BJP headquarter from 12 to 3 pm for the people to pay respects. After that she would be taken to her residential place at Delhi. Soon, at last the body will be taken to Lodhi Crematorium for her last rites. Along with the public, all the politicians and leaders would attend her cremated and rites with full honor and would pay their tribute.
Not only the general public but also all the politicians including PM Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Environment Minster Prakash Javadekar, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Health Minister Harsh Vardhan, HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal and Union Minister Smriti Irani were who visited the hospital.
Sushma Swaraj passes away at 67
Just few hours before her death, she tweeted and thanked to PM Narendra Modi for his decision on Kashmir on the abolition of Article 370. “Thank you Prime minister. Thank you very much. I was waiting to see this day in my lifetime.”
The Delhi government announced a two-day state mourning as a mark of respect for senior BJP leader and former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who passed away due to a cardiac arrest, late night on Tuesday, dated 6th February 2019.
She was a real aurator and a great leader who was respected across all the parties. She had contributed a lot in the external ministry and get remarked. Not only this, she was also a kind-hearted lady with a helping hands. In 2016, she had a Kidney transplant and thus due to her health issues she decided not to contest in 2019 election.

PM Narendra Modi took to twitter to condole her death. He tweeted, “Sushma Ji’s demise is a personal loss. She will be remembered fondly for everything that she’s done for India.
