BWF World Championships organized in St. Jakobshalle, Basel, Switzerland. On 25th August 2014 the finals of  BWF World Championships was organized in which PV Sindhu vs Nozomi Okuhara played and PV Sindhu crushed the Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara  &created history by winning with a leading score of 21–7, 21–7 & become the first Indian to win gold at BWF World Championships.
