Odisha TET Syllabus for Paper 1 Paper 2: The Board for Secondary Education, Odisha is preparing to organize the “Teacher Eligibility Test 2019” in August 2019. The Exam will be held in two papers such as Paper-I and Paper-II. Paper 1 will be held for Primary Teacher Classes 1 to 5 and Paper 2 for Elementary Teacher (Classes 6 to 8).

In the CTET Examination, the question will be asked from Child Development & Pedagogy, Language-I, Odia/ Urdu/ Hindi/ Telugu / Bengali, Language-II (English), Mathematics and Environment Studies subjects. Students have to cover all important topics from OTET Syllabus 2019. They make self-study Time Table as per the OTET Exam pattern. Board of Secondary Education holds Odisha TET in two papers like as Paper 1 for Class I to V and Paper 2 for Class VI to VIII. OTET Exam Pattern 2019- Odisha TET Paper 1 & Paper 2 Schedule

Students take a glance at the latest Odisha TET Pattern and OTET Exam structure. The paper-I will be held for Primary Teacher Level-I and paper-II will be organized for Upper Primary Teacher Level-II. In the first Paper, there will total 150 questions asked (30 questions in each section). The OTET Paper-1 will be of 150 marks. The second paper will also conduct for 150 marks but there will some optional subject. OTET Paper-I Syllabus  

Section-A: Child Development and Pedagogy

Understanding Child Development during Childhood (focus on children at the primary level)-

  • Concept, principles and stages of child development
  • Characteristics of physical, cognitive, social, emotional and moral development in childhood
  • Influence of heredity and environment in understanding the child

Understanding the Learning Process and Learners: 

  • Learning – concept, nature and individual differences in learning
  • Understanding how child learns – learning through observation, limitation
  • The understanding low child learns – various methods of learning
  • Basic conditions of learning and promotion of learning through motivation, classroom learning environment and teacher behavior
  • Development of creative thinking

Concept of Inclusive Education and Understanding Children with special needs:

  • Concept of inclusive education
  • Addressing the needs of a diverse group of learning in the inclusive classroom

  • Addressing the talented, creative learning

Comprehension: Two unseen prose passage (discursive or literary or narrative or scientific) with questions on comprehension, grammar and verbal ability, Language items: Nouns, Adverbs, Verbs, Tense and Time, Preposition, Articles, Adjectives, Prepositions, Punctuation

Section D: OTET Mathematics Syllabus

Number System and Operation in Numbers: Number system (natural, whole, rational, real)  Fundamental operation on numbers, Fractional numbers and decimals – operations in fractional numbers and, decimals  Factors and multiples – NCF and LCM, Percentage and its application.

Measurement: Measurement of length, weight, capacity, Measurement of area and perimeter of rectangle and square, Measurement of time (the concept of am, pm and time interval).

Shapes and spatial Relationship: Basic geometrical concepts (point, line segment, ray, straight line, angles), Geometry of triangles, quadrilaterals and circles, Symmetry, Geometrical slides (cube, cuboid, sphere, cylinder cone)

Data Handling and Patterns: Pictography, bar graph, histogram, pie chart, Interpretation of these graphs, Patterns in numbers and figures

Section E: Environmental Studies: 

Governance: Local-self, Government – State and Central and Judiciary
