Yukta Mookhey: fourth Indian woman to win Miss World Pageant
Yukta Mookhey is an Indian actress, model and fourth Indian woman who won the Miss World Title in the year 1999. She is the winner of the Miss World 1999 pageant held on 4th December 1999 at Olympia, London. Mookhey even joined politics and became a member of the political party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2004.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas: 5th Miss World and the 2nd consecutive winner from India
Priyanka Chopra was just 18 when she won the title of “Miss World 2000”. She is the fifth Miss World from India, crowned by Yukta Mookhey and became the second consecutive winner from her country. She has also awarded the fourth highest civilian award (Padmashri) in the Republic of India, for her global achievements & social works.
Internationally, Chopra reigned alongside Miss Universe 2000 titleholder Lara Dutta and Miss Asia Pacific 2000 titleholder Dia Mirza, both also of India. Manushi Chhillar: sixth Indian woman to win Miss World
After a long wait, India got its sixth Indian woman to win Miss World as Manushi Chhillar. She was crowned as “Miss World 2017” at Sanya City Arena in Sanya, China on 18th November 2017. She was also honored by Times magazine as “Times Most Desirable Woman of India” in the year 2017. Manushi will be seen making her debut in the b-town upcoming movie of 2020, titled as Prithviraj directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi in the role of Sanyogita.
